November 22: Explore Lebanese Cuisine on the Independence Day of Lebanon!
The Lebanese Independence Day celebrates the final liberation of the Lebanese people and state from the French Mandate. The mandate was in place for more than 23 years in Lebanon, and the battle against French control ended on November 22nd, 1943.
To celebrate, Dishfolio has a number of online food recipes for you to enjoy that include many typical Lebanese dishes and ingredients. Lebanese food often includes fruits, vegetables, seafood, starches and whole wheats. Animal fat is not a common ingredient in Lebanese cuisine, and poultry is generally preferred to red meat.
The food often consumed by the Lebanese is influenced by Egyptian culture, Palestinian culture, Israeli culture and even Syrian culture, making it incredibly diverse and certainly different to other foods found elsewhere on Earth.
With Dishfolio recipes, you can obtain a number of Arabic food recipes to cook for friends and family, so you can celebrate one of many holidays in Lebanon like a true local!
