November 11: Have Cuisine Française on Armistice Day!
Armistice Day in France is much the same as the Remembrance Day in Great Britain, which commemorates the victory of the First World War. The Great War ended in 1918, and while mornings are often spent remembering those who have passed, the day times are often spent with loved ones eating some great French food and cooking up French pastries recipes.
This is one of a number of French holidays that can be enjoyed by anyone in the world, thanks to the many recipes found on Dishfolio. On the website, keen cookers can find artistic food photography as well as recipes for making your own pastries, croissants and even savory dishes.
Some common desserts and pastries that are enjoyed during the day, and indeed all year round, include crepes, Saint Honoe, éclairs, crème brulee, cream puffs or 'choux', maxarons and Far Breton (which is cake with prunes). There are plenty of tips online to help you cook up some of these tasty treats, as well as recipes for some great savory dishes.
