It is not known exactly where or when rice pudding was first consumed, however, many experts believe that the dish originated in the Middle East. It is thought that the first type of rice pudding was "Firni", which used broken rice, cardamom seeds and pistachio. We can't wait to try it here at Dishfolio!
Today, countries all over the world have their own variation of rice pudding dishes. For example, in the UK, rice pudding is traditionally prepared with cream, milk, sugar and vanilla, while in the Caribbean, it can be prepared with flavorings as diverse as orange peel and ginger.
