Food hybrids are all over the place, and it would be safe to say that while there are some that redefine cringe worthy (yes, Cheetos Macarons and Buffalo Chicken Cupcake), but there are a whole lot other that have been nothing but sheer culinary delights. One such food hybrid, which may come off as rather repulsive but actually is delicious is the sushi pizza. Hold it, hold it! It’s nothing what it sounds like. The sushi pizza is not sushi roll on a base of sauce and cheese. Ew. The preparation is actually sushi arranged like a pizza. And when I say “arranged like a pizza”, I mean a base of rice with sushi toppings and even dressing that can be eaten as a pizza – if the rice base holds – or with chopsticks.
