Chunky Cranberry Apple Chutney
I’m always delighted to discover sparkling jars of my Chunky Cranberry Apple Chutney hiding behind the apricot jam! Dollops of ruby red chutney smeared over thick slices of bread, sandwiched amidst slices of aged cheddar then grilled in all its melted molten loveliness.. has to be one of my favorite comfort foods. So even if Thanksgiving is long past or just ahead, even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving or have a Christmas turkey, you should give this a try.. you’ll be sure to take a shine to this bright jar of felicity!

Pretty In Pink Tomboy Cake
The cover of Miette’s Recipe Book has been taunting me for weeks. The scalloped edges of the book was all it took for this bibliophile to lay down her debit card. Could there be a prettier book to display in her kitchen? And how delightful to discover that Miette means.. Crumb { sigh } ♥ Could there be a prettier cake? Perhaps, but this one was a stunner with it’s soft pink frosting swirled over a dense moist double chocolate layer cake. ♥ She’s called their Tomboy Cake

Snow Berries
These white chocolate dipped strawberries turned out so very beautiful and filled with Christmas cheer that I had to show you! The sugar reminded me of snow crystals so I decided to call them Snowberries ♥

Lussekatter St Lucia Buns
These lovely Lussekatter Saint Lucia Buns are also often called Saffron Buns, they’re shaped like an S and studded with two raisins at each end { and Smidge starts with an S;)} In Scandinavia, Advent is celebrated on the four Sundays before Christmas Day. These are often baked on Saint Lucia Day which falls on December 13th, the Friday before their Third Sunday Advent. Saint Lucia is thought to be a young woman who comes bearing lights and sweets. Sometimes there is a procession led by a young girl dressed in white, wearing a crown of candles { or lights }, with other young girls each carrying one light following behind. Doesn’t that just sound heavenly?
