May 18: I Love Reese's Day is the Celebration of Candy's Favorite Combination
Few combinations taste better than peanut butter and chocolate! When H.B. Reese created the peanut butter cup in 1928, many felt he outdid himself. His invention enjoyed great popularity almost immediately from release. Hershey discontinued other Reese's candy lines and emphasized the manufacturing of the peanut butter cup. The peanut butter cup since evolved into dark chocolate, white chocolate, "Reese's Pieces", and "Reese's Nutrageous" and other varieties of the original. It is an old favorite that continues to impress with variations both traditional and new.
Much like the celebrated chocolate chip, Reese's peanut
butter products expanded into baking. They can be used in unique
recipes just for them or even as a replacement for chocolate chips
to add a different twist. Over 40,000 fans joined a campaign to
