February 23: Celebrate Russian Defender of the Fatherland Day with Amazing Russian cuisine
February 23rd is marked as Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia, a holiday that celebrates the men and women who have served and are currently serving in the Russian Armed Forces. In Russia, parades and processions are held in honor of army veterans. On the flip side, Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia is also unofficially Men's Day, wherein the people of Russia celebrate the men in their lives such as husbands and boyfriends while workplace traditions have women employees giving gifts to their male colleagues.
In honor of this day, we're featuring some amazing Russian recipes made by our amazing Dishfolio food bloggers. Russia is a vast, multi-cultural land and this is reflected by their diverse cooking traditions.
