Sugar Free Pineapple Dates Cake
I have used around 20 dates in my recipe , so my cake was moderately sweet. You can increase the quantity if you prefer it more sweet. Pineapple and dates are boiled together in water and then made into puree. This puree is later added to flour along with other ingredients which makes the cake super moist and soft.

This dish goes as a side with fish curry rice for lunch or dinner. Make sure you buy small sardines for this recipe, because the bigger ones smell a lot. You can always fry the bigger sardines. Use lots of Turmeric powder to hide the smell.

The prawns or shrimps should be de-veined and de-shelled and should be marinated for at least 10 minutes with chili Turmeric powder and some salt. They are then cooked in lots of sauted garlic to give it nice aroma. Try to use lots of coriander leaves(Cilantro) which gives it extra flavor. I used Nando’s peri peri sauce , but can be substituted with hot sauce. Since I am using peri peri sauce, which already has salt, I didn’t add extra salt while cooking but you can adjust salt according to your preference.

In Combination with gur(Jaggery) which is unrefined whole cane sugar, it becomes all the more good option for those having deficiency of iron and calcium , because jaggery also has iron. Peanut powder or crushed Cashew Nuts can also be added to this recipe for extra nutty flavor. Some people prepare these ladoos, by grinding Roasted sesame seeds, instead of using them as a whole.
