January 22: Feast on Paella on St. Vincents Day in Spain!
The patron saint of Lisbon and Valencia, Vincent of Saragossa or Vincent the Deacon has a dedicated feast day on January 22 in Spain. He has a street in Valencia, Spain named after him called Calle San Vicente Mártir. In honor of this Spanish feast day, we here at Dishfolio are celebrating by featuring the famous Valencian rice dish Paella.
Paella is cooked on a shallow pan that can be referred to as either paella or paellera. The Valencian paella features white rice, a choice of meat, beans and seasoning. Other types of paella feature seafood or mix meat and seafood together and have it all! If you're craving for some authentic Spanish paella, then check out these online food recipes from our Dishfolio food bloggers. Our featured food bloggers show you how to cook paella Spanish style and with paella's distinct saffron coloring, display some beautiful food photography!
