August 10: Roast Marshmallows this National S'mores Day!

A campground favorite has its own day! Associated with sweetness, summer, and the great outdoors, the s'more is a delicious concoction of yummy goodness.  The first recipe published in a Girl Scout Handbook in 1927 but the tradition is thought to go further back. The name s'more came from the fact after having one, you always wanted some more.

S'mores offer many varieties beyond the milk chocolate, plain graham crackers, and toasted marshmallows.
