May 12: National Nutty Fudge Day – Easy Yet Creative Recipes
May 12 is National Nutty Fudge Day! Some argue this food holiday would not be possible without the supposed accidental invention of fudge that took place in the late 1880s in the US. Others suggest fudge started among college ladies college in need of a very easy to make dorm treat. Regardless of its origin, we celebrate National Nutty Fudge Day today because this dessert is just so incredibly delicious.
Fudge is very easy to make! In fact, the first recorded recipe of it involves just butter, white sugar, cream, and unsweetened chocolate, you don't even need a fudge maker or to buy fudge, just whip up your own. Some recipes have variations that are a bit more complicated but you cannot go wrong with these four basic fudge ingredients. Add them to your recipe for brownies for kids and it will surely be a hit!
To celebrate National Nutty Fudge Day, whip up a quick batch of the tasty treats our Dishfolio bloggers have dreamed up, and don't forget to share some with your friends and family! Make sure to take a moment for some great food photography!
